Displacement Risk Indicators
As one of the country’s fastest growing large cities over the past decade, Seattle saw rapidly escalating rents and housing prices. This has placed low-income households and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities at increasing risk of displacement.
The Heightened Displacement Risk Indicators presented here offer a greater understanding of who is most affected by displacement and where these pressures are currently concentrated, providing community members and policymakers with an important tool to inform Seattle's ongoing fight against displacement.
