The Seattle Displacement Project (SDP) was founded in 2021 to help combat the rising rates of displacement in the Seattle metro area. We research local and national gentrification and displacement issues to better understand and educate how they affect our communities. SDP also researches and participates in community development and affordable housing programs to support low-income families and areas to create more equitable and sustainable communities.

SDP is a non-academic, nonprofit organization funded by project grants and contributions from supporters. Our programs also rely on grants and donations to help us remain active in the community and support victims of displacement and exclusion.
