History

Newton Machinery and Tractor Salvage was founded in 2001, but our family has been collecting tractors for much longer than that. Daniel, my brother, and I (Grant) grew up on a farm here in Missouri. Much of our youth was spent tending to animals and crops, and we still cherish the memories made from it. During the weekends, we would accompany our father to auctions. While we didn't always find them the most exciting, we looked forward to the machinery we would later be able to deconstruct. Once we'd deconstructed a tractor, our father kept the parts he needed and sold the rest. Daniel, Brett, and I have always enjoyed understanding the inner mechanisms of tractors and other farming equipment.

As I got older, I realized the potential of this being a legitimate business venture. With money I had saved, I bought a couple tractors and other pieces of equipment to complete a trial run. In a short time, the business gained traction. I then decided to get a business loan and expand my operations. Now, my nephew, Brett, is my business partner and my brother, Daniel, works at the shop with us.
