Client Website Proposal
Due date: Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 11:59 pm
Points value: 25 points
For your client website project, you will create a website that demonstrates the concepts and practices we have covered this semester.
Create a Plan
Your task is to create a website for a client. The fun part? You get to choose the imaginary (or real!) client.
Unlike other projects, you have a lot more freedom for this assignment. You cannot create a personal portfolio; otherwise, the content is open for your choosing.
Here are some ideas:
- Create a small website for a nonprofit, club, cause, or company that lacks one
- Build a small website for a fictional company or nonprofit
- Construct a small website based on a hobby or interest of yours
I will also consider additional options. If you decide to work outside of these parameters, please be sure to make a note in your proposal so I can approve your project.
You will not be required to provide your finished product to an actual client, although you’re welcome to do so if comfortable.
Write a Proposal
After creating a plan, write a project proposal for your client website.
Your proposal does not need to go into too much depth; I am looking for 250–500 words describing your final website, client, and project plan. Consider answering some of the following questions:
- Who is your (imaginary or real) client?
- What will your website look like?
- What content will be featured on your website?
- How will you create the content and design for your website?
Please submit your final website proposal in HTML/CSS form, just like you did for the small research website proposal and annotated bibliography. Don't forget to zip the document into a folder before submitting to Brightspace.
Remember to let me know if you have any questions. I'm looking forward to reading your proposals!
