Client Website Proposal (Client Version)
Due date: Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 11:59 pm
Points value: 50 points
You have learned a lot about how to build a website and write to an online audience this semester. Now, you will explore how you would propose your services or skills to a potential client.
For this assignment, your goal is to write a proposal for your client website—not to me, but to your client. If you were creating a real website for a client, one of the first steps would be to create a detailed project proposal and share it with the client for approval.
Client proposals are intended to be an overview to help clients understand the work you will complete as well as the logistics of what to expect while working with you.
What to Include in Your Client Proposal
Address the following topics in your client proposal:
- Introduction: Who are you, and why are you the right person to build and write your client's website?
- Project Overview: Who is the audience for the website you will build? What will it look like?
- Project Goals/Objectives: What are the goals and objectives for the new website? What problems will you solve? How will your website benefit your client?
- Process Outline: What are the steps you will take to build, write, and deliver the website to your client? What should they expect from you?
- Conclusion and Call to Action: What are the next steps the client should take after reading this proposal?
Keep in mind that audience for your client proposal is your imaginary (or real) client. Write your client proposal directly to them (not to me).
How to Submit Your Client Proposal
Please submit your final website proposal in HTML/CSS form, just like you did for the website analysis project. I am looking for at least 500 words addressing the topics listed in the previous section. Don't forget to zip the document into a folder before submitting to Brightspace.
Consider the visual appeal of your client proposal as well. Create a proposal you would be proud to hand to your potential client.
Remember to let me know if you have any questions. I'm looking forward to reading your client proposals!
